So at 5:15 my union, the OPEIU local 3 is having a march from Powell street bart to City Hall to bring awareness to the San Francisco budget crisis.  So if your the marchy/protesty type or know someone that is send them on down.  I'll be surprised if it will get any media attention, but I guess its an attempt.

There's also an article in the San Francisco Chronicle about use of federal stimulus dollars to avoid decreasing services for homeless populations.  The CEO of the agency I work for is in it saying that he might have to cut back job because of the budget crisis. 

Most non-profits seem to be in the bay area seem to be in this boat.  I should really update my resume this weekend.

So one of the other case managers comes into my office telling me there is something I might want to deal with.  Apparently one of my tenants who is about 85 years old is outside digging through all the trash cans for recycling and at the same point putting change in every meter on the block. 

The case manager suggested I deal with the situation, my thought was how.  Just thought I'd share about some of the people I work with.

So I decided the other week that it would be a good idea for me to buy a new TV online.  Hey why not not there getting pretty cheap and I figure that they will ship it to me so there will be no problems.  I also figure I didn't need it right away so I'd get it shipped the longest way which was also the cheapest.  This all seems to have not been my best idea in retrospect.

I get a call last week from the shipping company some time last week when they try to set up a time to deliver this TV. They told me that they only delivered 9-5 monday-friday, which sucks for me since I work during these hours and since I'm new at my position I would have to give 2 weeks notice to take time off and it would most likely not be a good idea for me to call in sick to get my TV. 

Any way my new TV is sitting in a shipping place in south san francisco.   Any one want to help me pick it up?  They are open till 10 pm on week days.   Any takers?

Also in my continued infinite wisdom I managed to leave my work keys, house keys, and wallet at home.

Good bye office with my own bathroom

So looks like this upcoming week will be my yearly pull out all the cables and move a bunch of equipment around my apartment.  So I'm looking at getting a few things that will help with this and hopefully make my live easier.  These things being a patch bay and a power conditioner.  The patch bay I'm looking for something simple that I could most likely find second hand and one that doesn't have me deal with cartridges or soldering.  With the power conditioner something that I could plug atleast 8 things into and that isn't that expensive (hopefully could be found second hand too).

I'm also looking into one of those usb to wifi converters for my computer if someone could give me a recommendation on one of those too that would be great.

Otherwise its been about two months with out smoking.  For some reason this week seems to be alittle easier with the no smoking.
